Do yourself a favour and book this place. It was simply fantastic, you will not be disappointed. the pictures does not do it justice, it's even nicer! A real oasis. I needed a place to stay overnight near to the airport, and decided to go with Sunrock. I usually stay at the airport hotels, but Sunrock is my new place to stay when I need to be near the airport. The staff: Lovely friendly people and totally on the ball. Everything was run efficiently and professionally. Excellent communication online when I needed to get in touch with someone about whatever. I was very impressed. The location: The neighbourhood is not the best, but once you get behind the gates of Sunrock, it's like you're in a cool resort. It's very close to the airport, which is why I booked here, so it was perfect for that. The room: I loved my room. Bright, fresh, comfortable It had enough space for me (solo traveller), not sure if it would be too comfy for a couple though.(because of the size and the bathroom/toilet is not private) but there are bigger rooms. I just took a standard as I was alone. The room was also airy and very clean. There was even a memory foam pillow which I have never seen at any other place I have stayed before. Big bottle of water in the room, tea, coffee etc. Nice sized shower and a desk which I used. Very convenient. Facilities: EXCELLENT! The restaurant/ bar/ pool area area is gorgeous. I was blown away at how nice it was. In fact the whole property is just amazing. I made use of the spa facilities TWICE! The lady who works there (I forgot here name, sorry :-( ) is a gem. Do yourself a favour and get a treatment with her, you will not regret it. The shuttle service was also on point and an excellent perk of staying at Sunrock. Food: So good!! Dinner was lovely, a really nice variety that will satisfy anyone (I think). I had seconds. Breakfast was equally impressive. VARIETY! I loved it. I will definitely stay here again.

Highlights: The airport pick-up and drop-off were smooth and punctual—super convenient, especially after a long flight. The guest house has a relaxed, homey atmosphere with cozy rooms and a beautiful garden area. The meals were yummy—especially the homemade buffet dinners and generous breakfasts. We appreciated the veggie options too. The staff were kind and attentive, checking in to see if we needed anything. Great location for a stopover or short stay—secure and easy access to the airport. We stayed at two different point in our trip. Neighborhood is bit sketch so best for short stopovers. Bonus: there’s a pool (though we didn’t use it), which adds to the relaxing atmosphere. Overall, Sunrock Guest House offers a peaceful and welcoming environment that’s perfect for travelers looking for comfort, care, and convenience near the airport. Would definitely stay again!

Sunrock is always clean and always has most beautiful garden and will suggest they were the gardens late afternoon to early evenings as it assist with cooling down the rooms and stoops. It is a garden of Eden in Sodom and Gamorra. The lasagne was a let down very very dry and for us from Free State a let down. But as a beacon of light the steak and baked potatoes dinner the previous time was excellent. And some of the overseas visitors really liked your dinner. Your malva pudding and icecream was a 10. Breakfast was very good and nice again we saw an overseas visitor asking for "pancakes" and they refused to make for him. For me not making sense as it is so easy. But overall a wonderful venue with good workers and very beautiful clean rooms and lovely lovely gardens.

Warm welcome on arrival and there was such a warm, relaxed, comfortable and homely feel - it was as if they'd taken the best aspects from hotels, BnB, , Backpackers, Guesthouses and combined them. The ambience was amazing with gentle music in the background, the decor was phenomenal, the Spa that was open till 9pm, dinner was great, guests mingling but also 'nooks' to sit alone or with your friends, a lending/swop library, pool table, bar, a huge warm pool with loungers, stunning gardens, good service and even a gym! I was given a HUGE bedroom with a HUGE bathroom too. I wish I had come up a few days earlier to spend some extra time there but at least I know for next time and I WILL BE BACK!

The "complex" is very nice and almost all rooms are accesible with your car for easy loading - though not a feeling of roads running throgh the complex, its very peacefull. All room have little porches. Flowers EVERYWHERE (at least in january). Restaurant and bar area quite inviting. Pool area very relaxing with big palms and lots of flowers. Staff VERY sweet. The place is very well run - management seem to have good over-all procedures. Very smooth. Good options for late check out - with respect to other bookings. Great with transport to/from airport. A good place in connection with arriving or leaving SA - to gather with your group before heading out for roadtrips. An oasis in bustling Jburg
